The Great Resignation has shown very little signs of slowing down. As of January 2022, roughly 4.3 million have made some sort of move. Although a record number have quit their jobs in 2021, this has been a decade-long trend that has been taking place well before the pandemic. In looking at the long-term trend of a 10 percent quit rate from 2009 to 2019 exploding in 2021, what are the factors that are fueling attrition?
