Cole has been practicing HR for over 30 years in three distinct industries: retail, life sciences, and banking. He is currently the SVP-People and Culture Services at Silvergate Bank. Previously, Cole was the HR Director at the Profil Institute for Clinical Research. He has also held senior leadership roles in HR with Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Gap-Old Navy, and Best Buy.
Cole has a Master’s in Organizational Management and a Bachelor’s in Economics from San Diego State University. He holds the unique distinction of having the Society for Human Resource Management, Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR), the California Human Resources certification (CA), Global Human Resources certification (GPHR), and most recently acquiring his coaching license from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Cole has been an adjunct professor at California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) for over 20 years, where he teaches HR Strategy and the SHRM CP\SCP test preparation course. Cole is also the program advisory chair for the CSUSM Human Resource Management Certificate Program. Cole has served on several local Human Resource leadership boards, including the San Diego Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR BIOCOM, the National Human Resources Association (NHRA), and the San Diego HR Forum (SDHRF). Cole wants to be known for his efforts in helping others achieve their developmental goals in Human Resources.

How networking works...
- The Zoom rooms will open at 11:30 AM. The first 25 minutes (11:30-11:55) will be used for networking with NHCR-SD members and guests.
- All attendees will be admitted via a Zoom waiting room/lobby by our virtual meeting coordinator and will be placed into breakout rooms for networking.
- All attendees will be brought back into the main waiting room/lobby at 11:55 AM. Keynote speaker begins at 12 PM.
Many NCHR-SD events are eligible for SHRM & HRC Recertification Continuing Education credits.
