Google allegedly uses more contingent/gig workers than FTEs. The gig economy landscape is shifting, and so is the on demand work force. Some are not at all interested in full-time, regular jobs, and are building bona fide professional free-lance careers. Issues related to co-employment and classification may be the simplest matters for employers who seek top talent, especially in their mission critical roles, and may not know how or where to recruit new streams of alt-workers.
Here comes Sean Ring, co-founder of Fulcrum, a San Diego technology startup which aggregates on demand sites for free lancers. His thought leadership is in digital staffing, corporate responsibility and the triple bottom line, technology related to boundary-less talent pools and talent networks. Sean earned a BS in business administration from the University of Colorado, is a LEAD San Diego graduate, and a Certified Contingent Workforce Professional. He wants to stimulate conversation about HR’s impact on future work and workers.
